Junior College Admission Procedure and Instructions 2007 – 2008
Admission & Eligibility
As per the policy of the Government of Maharashtra the College has established the Junior College of Commerce from June 1976. Admissions are restricted to 6 divisions of Std. XI and Std. XII each. Students who have passed SSC examination (Std. X) of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education are eligible to apply for admission but admissions will be given on the basis of Merit and Reservation. Students who have passed Public Examination (Std. X) of the Board, that is other than Maharashtra Board, will not be admitted unless they obtain Eligibility Certificate from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Nashik. For this purpose students are advised to obtain migration certificate from the Board from which they have passed SSC Exam. and after getting the same they are required to apply in the prescribed form to the Divisional Secretary, MS Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Nashik for eligibility certificate.
Hostel Accomodation
Very few seats are available in the college hostel for Junior College students. For admission in hostel, the student is advised to see the Rector. Seats will be given only if accommodation is available.
Discipline
When a student is admitted to the college, all the rules and regulations as regards discipline, behaviour and conduct, attendance for lectures, tutorials, practicals and appearance at the examination, etc. are binding on him/her. In all disciplinary matters, the decision of the Principal shall be FINAL and BINDING.
Enclosures with Admission Form
- School Leaving Certificate in original.
- Marksheet of SSC Exam. in original, with two attested Xerox Copy.
- Three copies of passport size recent photograph.
Please Note : Admission will NOT be given without submission of School Leaving Certificate in ORIGINAL. The attested Xerox copy of the mark sheet must be of the same size as the admission form. The ORIGINAL copy of School Leaving Certificate will NOT be returned to student in any case. It is kept for College record. E.B.C./B.C./P.T.W. etc. forms must be submitted at the time of admission only. They will not be accepted afterwards.
Interview
The students will be interviewed for the choice of subjects, medium etc. in the college. The detailed programme of the same is put up on the Notice Board.
F. Y. B.Com Admission Procedure and Instructions 2007 – 2008
- After the scrutiny of Pre admission forms, a merit list is notified on the notice board of the college and the Admission is granted accordingly.
- There are 6 divisions of F.Y.B.Com. Class and total Intake capacity is 720 only as per University guidelines.
- In addition to this there will be 2 divisions of F.Y B.Com on non-grant basis.
- Student passing H.S.C. Examination from BYK College of Commerce, Nashik – 5 will be given preference for admission to F.Y.B.Com class subject to availability on merit basis.
- Students coming from other colleges will be considered for the admission on the basis of merit, reservation and availability of seats. All these details are notified separately on the notice board of the college.
- An admission committee has been formed to guide the students to select the subjects, medium and division, etc.
- An applicant is required to remain present before the committee for an interview with the necessary original documents.
- All the required documents are verified and checked by the committee at the time of interview. The committee will allot the subject, medium and division, which are not allowed to change later on.
- Admission to various subjects under the Restructured Program/Vocational Stream are granted on the basis of merit and availability of seats to each subject/division.
- Every day about 100 to 120 students will be interviewed according to the merit list for admission to the F.Y.B.Com class.
- The exact schedule of the interviews is notified on the college notice board. The application form and fees are accepted at the cash counter of the college between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. as per the schedule.
- Students should submit the following documents at the time of Interview for admission.
- Application form with the necessary fees.
- Original Mark sheet of H.S.C. Examination with 3 Xerox copies (attested).
- Latest passport size Photographs.(3)
- School Leaving certificate or Transfer certificate of the college last attended with 2 Xerox Copies.
- Eligibility form.
- Student belonging to EBC/BC/PTW/STW/DEFENCE/Ex-Servicemen/Freedom Fighter category should submit the prescribed forms for free ship with necessary details and recommendation of the notified authorities along with the admission form.
- Students coming from other Boards/University should submit last attendance certificate and Migration certificate of the concerned Board/University.
B.B.A. - B.F.T. Admission Procedure and Instructions 2007 – 2008
Rules For Payment of Fees, etc.
- Fresh students of all classes are required to pay an admission fee of Rs. 50/- & Library deposit of Rs. 300/- at the time of admission.
- Fees are subject to revision as per the University and the Govt. of Maharashtra directives.
- Admission will not be granted and names will not be enrolled unless the prescribed amount of fee is paid in full.
- If payment is made by cheque or draft, it must be drawn on the bank in Nashik. Cheque on a bank outside Nashik will not be accepted.
- Fee once paid will not be refunded.
- Students shall preserve the fee receipts given to them and shall produce the same whenever necessary. No deposit will be refunded without fee receipt.
- If a student joins the College in the first term and wishes to leave the course to join any other college for the second term, he must inform the Principal in writing about it before the beginning of the second term. If he fails to inform the Principal accordingly, he will be treated as a regular student in the college and shall have to pay the fees for the second term.
- A student continuing the College for the second term shall pay his fees for the term before the last date notifed for the purpose. If he fails to pay the fees without previously obtaining permission to pay late, he shall have to pay a fine of Rs.5/for every day, of delay.
- A student who does not pay his fee within 15 days of last day fixed for payment, without previous permission, shall have his name struck off the roll of students.
- Provisional admission shall be given to a student on payment of nominal fees, if he has already taken admission in any sister institution of the Society. Such Admission shall stand cancelled if full fees are not paid within one month from the last day of admission.
Hostel
M.Com Admission Procedure and Instructions 2007 – 2008
Students who desire to take admission to M. Com. Part I Class are intimated to note the following instructions.
- Admission form and prospectus are available at the Form Counter.
- Application form for admission should be submitted to the office along with the following documents
- Two Photo Copies of Mark sheet duly attested.
- Transference Certificate (original) in respect of the students coming from other College.
- Migration Certificate in case of students coming from other University.
- Concession / Scholarship application who desire to take the required fee concession facility (along with caste certificate if applicable)
- Gap certificate in case of students who are not fresh pass out.
- University Eligibility form.
- Last date of submission of Pre–Admission form will be notified separately on the college notice board.
- Declaration of Merit List as per the Rules will be notified separately on the college notice board.
- Admission procedure as per Merit List and Admission date will be notified separately on the college notice board.
- Subject will be allotted as per the decision of the admission committee.
- Admission Timing: 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
